  INTRODUCTION
Kenne Bell decided to pull out all the stops for our intercooled GM kit and mount the popular and intimidating “over the top” Corvette Kit onto the trucks and SUV’s. See LS1/LS2/LS6/TS Tech Tips and the Corvette Kit for more info. To illustrate the huge HP and Torque potential, our 850HP rated 2.4L kit made 501RWHP at 13 psi on our 100% stock 5.3 test truck. The 2.6L made 801RWHP/855 ft lbs at 18 psi and then 1000+ on the engine dyno. No other positive displacement 50 State Legal kit can compare. The kit features the best of everything, beginning with a huge distinctive billet aluminum 2.4L or 2.6L Kenne Bell Twin Screw.

WHY A LARGER DISPLACEMENT SUPERCHARGER?
Others may say theirs are “big enough” but much like a larger displacement V8 engine, the larger displacement Kenne Bell BIG BORE means it turns less rpm to produce the same boost (air flow). It therefore runs cooler while consuming less engine HP to operate when in boost. By comparison, the largest OEM Roots style are a 112 (1.84L) or 120 (1.97L). The larger the supercharger displacement, the less rpm your engine has to work to make the same boost. Although more costly, the Twin Screw is the choice of OEM’s who demand the most powerful and efficient supercharger - like the fabulous $165,000 Ford GT, the upscale Mercedes, Mercury Marine, Mazda, etc. These OEM companies chose the Twin Screw because they were more EFFICIENT (cooler air charge temp, lower parasitic loss, greater HP potential) - and of course, more HP to the rear tires. A billet Kenne Bell will never be mistaken for a “smaller” cast aluminum supercharger (OEM Roots style or aftermarket). Finally, larger displacement superchargers use a proportionally larger diameter pulley which provides improved belt contact surface. This minimizes belt slippage, wear and power losses.

WHY THE KENNE BELL TWIN SCREW?
Kenne Bell has been producing billet aluminum Twin Screw kits for GM since 2001. Today we offer the most powerful positive displacement kits for the Corvette. We recognize that Kenne Bell is not the only supercharger choice and there are many HP & Torque claims that add to the confusion in selecting the ideal supercharger kit. But you can’t have the best supercharger kit without the most efficient supercharger. Ant there is one proven and undeniable fact; The Twin Screw IS the overall most efficient supercharger available. Why?
1. As compared to the Eaton Roots style, it consumes LESS engine HP and torque to drive. That can only translate to MORE HP and torque to the rear wheels per pound of boost. That is FACT. Automotive Engineers (OEM and aftermarket) are well aware of the Twin Screw superiority.
2. As compared to the centrifugals, the Twin Screw makes MORE HP and torque in the low end and mid range because it makes MORE boost with virtually no drop in efficiency or boost at high rpm.
3. Finally, the air charge temperature of the Twin Screw is cooler and denser than any Roots style. Again, more HP and torque to the rear tires.

INLET MANIFOLD
The 93mm Corvette inlet manifold is designed to support 950HP. It accepts either the stock 76mm or the Corvette 90mm throttle body. Yes, everything is overdesigned or overkill and you may never use all the HP potential of this kit. However, “bigger,” even at the lower HP levels, makes for a more efficient and powerful supercharger that turns less rpm with lower friction, heat and wear. Also included are billet fuel rails and an external billet bypass valve system that improves fuel mileage during non boost operation.

INTERCOOLER
Same bar and plate billet 950HP rated intercooler used on Corvette. The best of everything.

CALIBRATION
All engine and transmission re-calibration is done in house at Kenne Bell. We do not rely on “canned chip company tunes” or “others” to calibrate our kits. Our customers deal DIRECTLY with Kenne Bell. There are no middlemen.

TRANSMISSION
We feel that 370RWHP and 400 ft. lbs. torque, as measured on our Dynojet dyno, is about max for the stock 5.3/4.8 transmissions and 425RWHP for the 6.0. All necessary transmission functions are re-calibrated for optimum acceleration, firmer shifts, etc. in both boost and non boost operation. Note: Our 6.0 kits produce approx. 45 more HP and 40 ft. lbs. more than the 5.3.

Note: The 6.0 supercharged Vortec engine makes even more HP and torque. See Tech Tips for additional dyno tests. Weight of GM vehicles from Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Pontiac etc. varies as do their actual HP rating, dyno type, test conditions etc. Expect gains from 40-60% depending on vehicle and conditions.
• This HP & TQ is the safe limit of the stock 5.3 transmission.
• A “TRUE” 55% gain is a big jump in power and performance.
• The truck tested was 100% stock except for the supercharger kit.
• The 6.0L transmission ratings are higher and are capable of holding more HP.
• Increasing boost 1 psi with this kit will raise engine output by 5% or 20HP.
