Kenne Bell, the Number 1 manufacturer of Twin Screw Supercharger Kits engineered the most powerful and technically advanced supercharger/intercooler kit available for the venerable 4.0 Jeep. 47% more HP and 52% more torque make the 4.0 6 cylinder feel stronger than a 6.0 V8 while retaining the better fuel economy and lighter weight of the 6. There's gobs of seat pinning torque and HP for street, off road, hill climbing, rock crawling etc. from idle to redline. No boost lag as with centrifugals or turbos. The standard 5.5 psi kit increased torque a whopping 80 ft lbs (200 ft lbs vs. 120 ft lbs stock) at a mere 1600 rpm - performance a turbo or centrifugal cannot possibly match. That kind of torque and power will get you over the hills, sand and rocks and make for some real fun on the street. And it'll regain all that torque - and lots more - lost from those big tires. The Kenne Bell Kits offer you so much more (See "Features"). Our inlet manifold accepts up to 70mm throttle sizes (stock is 60mm). Intercooled for maximum power and engine reliability. The dedicated Kenne Bell Cool Air Kit produces yet another 13HP over the stock restrictive inlet system. The whisper quiet Kenne Bell Superchargers feature a self contained oiling system. Punching holes in the engine oil pan is not required to lube the supercharger. We're convinced that big linear power gains throughout the rpm range require larger 42 lb injectors and a re-calibrated stock ECM, the Kenne Bell OPTIMIZER ll™. Without both, "flatline" AF ratio and linear power gains throughout the rpm range are not possible. Finally, the kit is 50 State Legal and is easy to install.
Finned Tube Intercooler
Twin Screw Supercharger
Unsurpassed for heat transfer. The most advanced air to water intercooler available. 86% efficient. Lowers air charge temp to within 9° of ambient. Laminar flow through dense finned aluminum tube cores maximize heat dissipation while minimizing pressure losses. That means more HP and torque than non intercooled kits at ANY rpm.   The patented and widely acclaimed Twin Screw Supercharger is +90% efficient. It requires 30% less energy (HP) to drive and the air discharge temp is 30% cooler than the Roots type. The Twin Screw's lower parasitic losses - akin to a free set of headers - and the cooler denser air charge guarantees more horsepower and torque than other kits. Kits available in polished or black/satin.

8 MOST COMMON MISTAKES IN SELECTING A 4.0 JEEP SUPERCHARGER KIT

It has been our experience that the 8 most common mistakes made when selecting a supercharger kit are believing that:

1. It is NOT necessary to reprogram the stock ECM and hope that somehow the stock ECM will magically "adapt" or "adjust" all by itself for the supercharger. That is B.S. Ask any Chrysler engineer about the dangers of the 33% lean condition in closed loop at WOT, fuel cut off when trans shifts, torque management and sloppy shifts (automatic trans) etc. Ask him if the stock ECM will "adjust" these critical parameters to accommodate the added power of the supercharger.

2. A pressurized oiling system with a hole drilled in your oil pan is required. Wrong. In fact, the tiny oil feed orifice can easily plug and destroy the supercharger which voids the warranty. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." It is not necessary or recommended, even for off road use.

3. An intercooler is not highly desirable for a 4.0 Jeep with today's fuel. Wrong. If we didn’t feel it was needed, we wouldn’t offer it as standard equipment. Our kit would cost $1000 less if we eliminated the intercooler.

4. There is no difference between ENGINE and REAR WHEEL HP. Wrong again. There is considerable loss through the Jeep 4WD drivetrain. Our dyno tests are all rear wheel HP. To determine engine HP, divide by .77. A Kenne Bell kit will develop approx. 44% more REAR WHEEL HP (214 vs. 148) and 52% more torque (307 vs. 201) at 5.5 psi with an intercooler. That's approx. 283 engine HP and 403 ft. lbs. Ever wonder why others don’t post their dyno tests?

5. All kits are "50 State Legal" merely because they're on a website.

6. It doesn't make any difference if the Jeep has an automatic trans, so re-calibrating the ECM is not necessary. Anyone who believes this must believe there is a tooth fairy.

7. The stock inlet system is not restrictive or adding a K&N filter will eliminate the restriction. If adding the Kenne Bell Cool Air Kit didn't make 13HP, we wouldn't include it at no charge with the supercharger. Again, where is everyone’s dyno tests? No dyno? Can’t take the time to test or do some Tech Tips for Jeep owners?

8. All Jeep 4.0 factory engine and transmission calibrations are the SAME so you don't need your PCM re-calibrated by YEAR, TRANSMISSION, INJECTOR SIZE, BOOST, ETC. Yes, this is a big problem. Otherwise why would Kenne Bell get all those calls from Jeep owners with other supercharger kits asking us if we can calibrate THEIR ECM so their engine and trans will function properly. Once again, your supercharged Jeep WILL NEVER perform optimally without re-calibrating the ECM.
