The “World’s Most Powerful Production Musclecar” is equipped with either a 725HP Kenne Bell 2.8H or 3.6LC Liquid Cooled Billet Twin Screw Kit designed specifically for the Shelby GT 500 Super Snake.

Shelby selected the 2.8H and 3.6LC because of their ultra high efficiency, low parasitic losses and dyno/track proven performance. These 2.8H or 3.6LC kits are available only in coupes. A less powerful Eaton 2.3 Roots type kit, rated at only 600HP, is used on the convertibles, which lack the structural rigidity of the coupes. No wimpy 600HP convertible for us. We couldn’t resist. Had to buy one - the 725HP coupe, of course. Now it's upgraded to the Liquid Cooled 3.6LC 800HP. And our new 2011 test car will be a 3.6LC Super Snake.

It has everything (aggressive looks, handling, ride, brakes and image with no loss in fuel economy). And it’s guaranteed to turn heads for the next 50 years.
