During the development stages of our 4.6 2V Mustang GT and Bullitt kits, particular attention was given to the inlet tract components as the Twin Screw doesn't like inlet restrictions. A variety of filters, cool air kits, mass air meters, throttle bodies and inlet ducting were tested before finalizing on a combination. Sensors were placed before and after each inlet component to measure air flow and losses throughout the 245-507HP range. These tests determined at what HP level the components became a restriction. We highly recommend that our kit customers do not 'mix and match" various components and manufacturers, including chips. Don't be fooled by those that lack the latest sophisticated calibration software used by Kenne Bell. Stick with the dyno tested and proven Kenne Bell products and eliminate the trial and error process, wasted money, troubleshooting and expensive time consuming phone calls.

This should be the FIRST inlet system upgrade as it's the biggest restriction. Next add the 75mm throttle body. We like the accuracy and air flow of the Ford factory 90mm meter and modify it to fit our kits. Note: NEVER install a meter and larger injectors on our kits without re-calibrating the EEC itself.
